Apple has announced QuickType, a new keyboard for iOS 8. The Keyboard looks similar to SwiftKey a popular keyboard generally used on Android Phones. It predicts the word you are going to write based on sentence you are trying to write and because of you past history. QuickType learns what you write and protect what you write, your words are now much saver say Apple’s SVP Craig Federighi adding up more he said it don’t uses the functionality of swipe to type that is used by Windows Phone and Android devices.
SwiftKey Releases a note taking app for iOS in January. Apple appears to have working on this type of keyboard as early as when the iOS 5 was released. The more you use QuickType, the smarter it will get as it learns your style of writing and choice of words. Apple also promises that SwiftKey will work its magic in a way that protects your privacy as all learning will be local to your iPhone or iPad and not shared in the cloud. The only downside? iOS users who blame bad text messages on unwanted and unnoticed typos may need to find another excuse.
