The graphics card domain has been dominated by Nvidia for a few years now. Their launch of the recent RTX line of cards has really placed them at the top in the hierarchy, however, they were at the top even with their previous gen 10XX series card because there was and is no one to rival them. People are expecting AMD to announce their answer to the RTX cards any day now. With all that has been happening with Nvidia people seem to have forgotten that AMD GPUs even exist. Today, AMD’s Powercolor Radeon RX 590 Red Devil got leaked and finally, we have an AMD GPU to talk about.
Powercolor Radeon RX 590 Red Devil GPU Leaked
We know that AMD’s most recent RX 500 series card is the RX 580. The RX 580 is often compared to Nvidia’s 1060 6GB GPU so it is not anything to write home about. However, according to a recent leak, we have the next iteration of the RX series. Powercolor Radeon RX 590 Red Devil is apparently AMD’s next RX GPU. We have good reason to believe that the new card will use the Polaris 30 GPU. The RX 580 used a Polaris 20 GPU and we see no point for AMD to use the same GPU in a newer iteration.
We don’t know all the tech specs at this point so we will have to wait for further info or official announcement, however, it is safe to assume that the card will at the least rival the GTX 1080.
Powercolor Radeon RX 590 Red Devil GPU Expected Price
Since you can pick up an RX Vega 56 Red Devil for around 350 USD I think it is safe to assume that a new RX 590 GPU would cost less than the Vega 56. Also, keep in mind that the 350 USD for RX Vega 56 includes three games. Going by all that, I don’t really see a new RX 590 going for more than 300 USD.
This is all we have right now, please leave us a comment below on what you think about the leaked Powercolor Radeon RX 590 Red Devil.
