What is AR?
So the new iPhone 8 is just around the corner and we have to talk about AR. At this point there probably isn’t anyone who doesn’t know about Augmented Reality. Thanks to Pokemon GO. If by some miracle you don’t know what Augmented Reality then just know that it’s a technology that draws CGI onto our world through on a screen.
iPhone AR is BIG
At WWDC this year we found out that Apple was going all into Augmented Reality and their demo was absolutely amazing. The Apple ARkit was already released to various developers.
Since iPhones are widely used around the world after iPhone 8. We can assume that Augmented Reality will also be everywhere. It might be the biggest platform for AR yet. Since developers already have their hands on the ARkit. It’s safe to say that there will be a bunch of AR games for us to play when the new iPhone comes out.

If you want to see just how far we’ve come from Pokemon GO when it come’s to AR gaming take a look at the tweet by Directive Games. If something like this doesn’t get you fired up for iPhone 8’s Augmented Reality Apps I don’t know what will. Education might if you’re a concerned parent. Since Apple has been planting it’s feet into education for sometime. There will also be a number of AR apps related to education.
iPhone 8 might be totally centered around augmented reality. So much that augmented reality apps might not only be related to games or education but everything else. After Snapchat and Pokemon Go the future of augmented reality is bright. But maybe not in the way we think.
