The hustle of companies buying other companies started in 2014 when first Google bought companies that specialized in mechanics and robots. After that we saw Facebook acquiring Whatsappand then bringing in changes in the company. The main feature brought to Whatsapp was the voice calling feature.
But now this is something big again. Now we see Apple procuring the audio equipment and service company Beats for a $3.2 billion in total. As part of the deal, Beats Music would also join the iTunes division of the company. It would be interesting if Apple merges both companies together in order to form a much better and stronger duo, regardless that they were competitors once.
The deal has been confirmed by one of the founders of the company Dr. Dre. And apart from that, actor Tyrese Gibson also confirmed it on his Instagram account.
After all, this is Apple we are talking about and Apple always has an edge in the end. Although HTC might be using the Beats audio enhancement in there smartphones, but purchasing the technology and molding it in this way would be fairly interesting to look forward to.
This by far has been Apple’s largest acquisition recently and the company has fair hopes to bring back iTunes to good grounds.
