As we all know, iPhone 6 will make its debut in two sizes i.e. 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. As per specs of both iPhone models, they will be common. Both iPhone 6 models will come with better resolution, A8 processor, 16 MP and more. Apple has laid significant focus, this time, on the thinness of the iPhone models. The larger iPhone is expected to come in mid-September. While, the first one will be officially released in a month or two. The delay in larger iPhone 6 release is due to its complex production. A new report suggests that this is also going to increase larger iPhone 6 price.
For larger iPhone 6, Apple has really gone tough. To ensure the availability of slim batteries, they coordinated with their suppliers. The screen size has also resulted in higher cost price. Now the question is, whether the fans will pay $100 more for larger iPhone? The note from Raymond James analyst somewhat clarifies the situation:
“Apple will likely charge a $100 premium for the 5.5 inch version that media reports have suggested will be available a few months after the 4.7 inch version,
Our June consumer survey points to continued growth in the willingness of iPhone users to pay $100 more for a bigger screened iPhone, with now a full one-third of survey respondents willing to pay a $100 premium,”
The analyst has taken the info from his survey. He points that nowadays, people want to have large smartphones. Hence, they will pay $100 more for an Apple device with larger display. Moreover, there is also no other high-end smartphone expected till the end of this year. This makes the Apple case strong.
$100 is definitely not a big deal for die-hard Apple fans. What about you? Will you pay $100 for EIGHT more inches i.e. larger iPhone 6?
