The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi has announced that it’s upcoming Mi Mix 3 smartphone will be the first ever smartphone to feature 5G connectivity. Although what we know about the phone is still rudimentary we have confirmation that 5G connectivity is going to be one of the key features of the phone.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 To Be The Worlds First 5G Smartphone
It is incredulous to think that we will have a 5G supported smartphone in the market even before 5G service officially arrives to cellular carriers. If we know anything about Xiaomi, we know they are not the ones to shy away from innovation. Back in Sept of this year, Donovan Sung, global spokesperson for Xiaomi, tweeted the successful testing of 5G connection on Mi Mix 3.

At the time, however, they couldn’t make the claim that the Mi Mix 3 would indeed be the first phone to offer 5G connectivity but as it turns out currently there is no other phone that has been announced to support 5G connectivity.

Xiaomi recently confirmed that their newest flagship is scheduled for release on Oct 25th this year. It is a great leap for the tech world. 5G is going to be the next big thing in a world that is deeply consumed by the internet. Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Release Date
As previously mentioned, Xiaomi is going to release the much-awaited Mi Mix 3 on 25th Oct 2018. The phone will be initially released in China as always and in the rest of the world later on.
