Xbox Digital Game Gifting is a game changer for the console market.
The one biggest gripe that console gamers had with the previous generation of consoles was the inability to gift games but this has been solved with Xbox Digital Game Gifting, it seems Xbox has upped the ante with a feature that is currently exclusive to those in the preview of Xbox One, but you can now send games and DLC as gifts to friends on your list or even email them.

You can see that this is a much-needed feature and since it is available in Preview, which has a select audience. It means that it won’t be soon until this becomes available to the public.
Microsoft has chosen a very strategic time to roll out the feature with the holiday season sneaking up on us with each passing month, just in time for them to rake in additional sales from individuals gifting games to friends and family to share the love.
You can Gift Game DLC as well on Xbox:
Mike has confirmed that the gifting is applicable to games as well as DLC, so if you have been aching for more of your friends to jump in on the Zombie Chronicles bandwagon with you in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, then you will be glad to know that the DLC can now be sent as a gift to them if you are in the preview.
I can see this as a much welcome feature for many gamers. I can only assume that this has been a feature that has been on many a Microsoft fans wishlist for some time now.
While the ability to gift games was previously only exclusive to PC gamers, it is good to see Microsoft paving the way for console gamers across the world to give the gift of gaming to each other.
With plenty of sales coming up such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you can definitely expect this to be the hottest new feature that will give Microsoft fans bragging rights over the PlayStation community.
PlayStation Digital Game Gifting Still a Dream:
With this new development, one can only hope that Sony is taking notes and prepares something along the lines of this too.
The feature is indeed exclusive to a limited audience, but do let us know in the comments section which game are you looking to gift or getting gifted?
