IDC is a trusted source of surveys and it is doing regional surveys since past few months and now its India’s turn.
According to the survey from IDC, Windows Phone is now the 2nd most popular OS in India followed by Android of course. and it left IOS and BB behind. The main reason behind is Nokia Lumia 520 which is less than INR 10,000 and it caused 67% sale of smartphones in India and is most popular windows phone in Whole world. So now Windows Phone is really doing great job in India. It has a 5.6% market share in which 5% are Lumia devices, thanks to Nokia as Nokia sold its devices very well since its launch in India.
