Back in June 2014, Pakistan carried out the 3G/4G Auction. The four cellular companies i.e. Ufone, Telenor, Mobilink and Zong participated in the auction, leaving Warid behind. Ufone and Telenor won the 3G licenses while the latter two won the 4G too. This left the Warid customers in worry. It was also speculated as the END TO WARID! It would soon be bought by ChinaMobile i.e. owners of Zong. But to the surprise of all of us, an ad showing Warid 4G LTE teased us.
The advertisement was released about three or four weeks back. Since then, there are no official words on Warid 4G LTE. The other Telecom companies has criticized Pakistan Telecom Authority PTA on this. But it seems like Warid has been having the license since it got the license in 2004. Keeping this issue aside, the customers are now getting bit tensed regarding Warid 4G LTE Trial. Is it coming? How much time it will take to launch Waird 4G LTE Trial? All the other Telecom companies has already launched their trials.
Well, here is the good news. Warid is currently testing its 4G LTE network. The test is carried out through intranet infrastructure. Warid 4G LTE network touches the 51mbps speed during the test. WOW! Here is the image,
Now, only the thing left behind is PTA approval which hopefully will be issued in a week or two. After that, Warid will gradually start trial in major cities of Pakistan. So guys, keep your fingers crossed as we will get the Warid 4G Trial in few weeks!
