As you may already know that TI8 was concluded 2 days ago with one of the best TI finals to ever happen in Dota history. OG won the TI8 finals with a hard-fought journey from DPC seasons to the group stage and main event of TI. Along with the conclusion of TI8, the Battle Pass also seemed to expire making the community upset and asked for an extension as many of the players had to use their tokens and other stuff related to Battle Pass like the recycling of immortals etc. Valve just released a Dota 2 Update in which they announced to extend the Dota 2 TI8 Battle Pass for two weeks.
The International 2018 Extention
Announced in their official Twitter account Valve seemed to extend the Battle Pass duration. This means Dota 2 player can now enjoy all of the Battle Pass features including Ranked Roles and Mutation mode. This also means that the players can now recycle their useless Immortals for leveling up their Battle Pass, and can complete their Cavern or can claim the rewards from the Battle Pass points given for correct predictions and other stuff.
We’re extending the features in the Battle Pass for two more weeks.

OG TI8 Winners and Immortalization
OG who seemed to struggle initially, going through drama and facing so many tragedies among themselves one of them were Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Tal “Fly” Aizik end of the long friendship. They were known as brothers among the Dota community and with the departure of Fly and S4 from the roster the team were in huge crisis and had to form a new roster along with withdrawing from Dota 2 China Super Major. No one was expecting OG to even qualify for a TI8 spot, let along compete in the main stage of TI8.
OG hired a Pubstar rookie known as Topson known for his crazy Monkey King and Invoker plays and Ceb also known as 7cking Mad or 7Fu*kingMad started to play offlane instead of coaching. The team fought hard for their TI8 slot and got their slot for TI8. Now next thing to concur was to survive in the Group Stage in which they initially struggled in the first 2 days but as they gained momentum they seemed strong however not strong enough to go to high places. People were expecting them to lose in quarterfinals or semifinals.
OG fought hard for their Grand Finals place and they really did it defeating the titans like EG, PSG.LGD and VGJ.Storm securing them a Grand Finale and a rematch with PSG.LGD which was looking pretty much undefeated. People never stopped doubting saying, “OG they won? cool, but what about the next match?” and so on.
This year’s TI was amazing compared to its predecessors. I personally think it was on par with TI3 finals. Despite the odds being stacked heavily against OG, they defeated the highly favored teams like Evil Geniuses, VGJ.Storm and PSG.LGD twice in a row. The second time going 3-2 in the first-ever TI Grand Finals that went all the way to five games since Alliance’s win against Natus Vincere at The International 2013.
The nerve-wracking series featured some of the best Dota 2 games in recent memory. However, despite PSG.LGD’s best efforts, OG ultimately won out, closing out the series in five must-watch games. Valve also Immortalize OG in the in-game Aegis of Champions.
