Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is now available OTA for google play editions of HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4. After the huge success of two hottest smartphones HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, google announced the google play version of both phones so that users can get quick updates and support directly from google as they promised when they announced the GP edition of S4, and they kept their promise. You can say the Google Play editions are more or less with the Nexus devices in terms of receiving updates as both devices received the Android 4.3 update a week after it was officially announced and most of the nexus devices are still to get update.
The Android 4.3 update was announced last week, alongside the new Nexus 7 tablet and the Chromecast media streaming device. This was not a major update though. The OTA update is about 150MB for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and a little bigger 180MB for the HTC One.
One of the major change that HTC One got after the update is it has now working infrared and Bluetooth tethering on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and a new background color on the latter for settings.
The other Nexus devices will get the update in coming weeks and original versions of both phones will get it in a month or two.
