The Sinking City is an upcoming third-person adventure game being developed by Frogwares, inspired by the works of American horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. The developers have talked about at length no how this is their most ambitious project yet and now we have some The Sinking City Gameplay Demo footage with developer’s commentary, check it out below.

Best keep your mouth shut since snitches get stitches. Take a look at a commentated quest from The Sinking City as you try to discover what has got some poor souls mouth sealed shut. Dive into The Sinking City, an adventure and investigation game set in an open world inspired by the universe of H.P. Lovecraft, the master of Horror. The half-submerged city of Oakmont is gripped by supernatural forces. You are a private investigator and you have to uncover the truth of what has possessed the city… and the minds of its inhabitants.
Being a big fan of Lovecraftian horror myself, Bloodborne being my favorite game to ever use the themes and ideas of his work, I’m excited to see what the developers at Frogwares have in store for us as we go deep into the madness of The Sinking City. The game is headed to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 21, 2019.
