The Sinking City Cracked by CODEX, Available before Release

The Sinking City Cracked
The Sinking City

The Sinking City is finally available for PC and consoles users. While it officially launches tomorrow, people that pre-ordered it can play it a few days early. This has allowed scene groups to crack the game, and now with The Sinking City Cracked by CODEX, pirates are already playing the game.

It’s sad to see games getting cracked before days, especially when the developers are independent and don’t have massive resources.

The Sinking City Cracked by CODEX

CODEX is one of the more known scene groups, and they’re the first to release a crack for games, that don’t have Denuvo protection. The game uses the standard protection that both Steam and Epic Games have, and since the game was made available for users who had pre-ordered, that’s all it took for scene groups to release it on torrent sites.

While Denuvo has its issues, it can be a good measure for companies to get their sales in the first few days, but at the end of the day, the technical issues Denuvo causes isn’t worth worsening the experience for the player.

TheNerdMag does not support or advocate piracy in any way, though we do hold questionable views regarding DRM, so while we are sharing news regarding cracking, this in no way means we use or advertise said cracks.

Denuvo Vs Piracy

Denuvo’s fight with piracy has been something amazing to witness, scene groups have managed to crack games literally 3 days from release with titles like Hitman 2 but at times pirates had to wait months and months for their favorite games to be available on torrent sites.

Various scene groups have joined hands in the fight against Denuvo, and new groups like FCKDRM are consistently working on new ways to counter the protection implemented by Denuvo.

Many games over the past few months have shown that performance without Denuvo has actually been better, especially in Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2.
