Earlier this month, The Nerd Mag suggested that there could be a Spyro the Dragon Trilogy on the horizon and that there was some demo code for Spyro the Dragon in the Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy. Now it seems that we’re going to get an announcement about the trilogy remasters of the beloved franchise sooner than expected, check out details below.
Spyro the Dragon Trilogy Announcement
If you’ve been following The Nerd Mag, there have been quite the rumors regarding Spyro the trilogy remaster, first off there was the annual investor report of Activision, which includes the intention to mine the Activision IP library as part of its plans for the second half of 2018.
“We expect to release World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth and our latest Call of Duty game in the second half of 2018,” reads the report. “In addition, we expect to deliver ongoing content for our various franchises, including expansion packs for Hearthstone and Destiny 2, in-game events for Overwatch, and map packs for Call of Duty: WWII, as well as releases of remastered versions of titles from our library of IP”
After that, in the code of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, there has been mention of a Spyro Demo and this seems pretty intentional, pointed out by Twitter user mat5b, a line of a code indicating the existence of the demo has been spotted, check out the code below
If you’re a Call of Duty fan, you may know of the Reddit user B4DASS, the same user who foretold the Black Ops IIII reveal, check out his recent Reddit post in the /r/PS4 subreddit below
Now, this could all be false, but it doesn’t dismiss the fact that there have been developments regarding the trilogy remaster, and the indication of a Spyro demo in the remaster trilogy of Crash is something to consider as well.
If what this Reddit user is saying, is correct, we’ll be getting an announcement tomorrow at 1PM PST. Stay tuned to The Nerd Mag for more news and developments on this. Oh, and it’s called Spyro The Dragon: Treasure Trilogy, which is a nice touch.
