Sony is rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for selected Sony Xperia X performance devices. The update is being rolled out to the users who signed up for the Android 7.0 Nougat beta program.
Yesterday, Sony sent emails to all the beta testers that their Sony Xperia X Performance devices will get the Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. And today those selected Xperia devices got the update over the air.
The users who will install the update will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat with build number 39.2.A.0.248. Only the F8131 (Single-sim) variant of the Xperia X Performance is getting the beta update. Other users might have to wait for some more time.
The update brings many features to the device. Users can now control camera shutter speed manually. ISO controls are also added at the full 23MP resolution. The latest STAMINA mode is also part of the update .
The October 1st security patch is also part of the update.
It is worth mentioning again the update is currently available for selected Sony Xperia X Performance devices and is in beta and may contain some bugs. Other Xperia devices will get the update soon.
