But in case any of you were still wondering, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice ESRB rating has just been revealed!
The reveal came from the official ESRB website which rated the game M for Mature. This means that the game is essentially Parental Guidance until 17 and above. So, to any concerned parents who are wondering what violent and gory game their children are playing, we’ve got your back.
The Content descriptors for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice ESRB rating are “Blood and Gore, Violence” with a Rating Summary that reads:
This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a disgraced shinobi on a quest to rescue his kidnapped lord in ancient Japan. Players use swords and a prosthetic arm to battle members of an enemy clan and supernatural demons in frenetic combat. Large blood-splatter effects occur as enemies are killed; some attacks result in decapitation and/or dismemberment. Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a man impaled through the chest with a sword; a child stabbed with a sword off screen.

The game has stunning visuals and the prosthetic arm used to hook shot along roofs and jump all around the place could mean some amazing level design based on verticality. Anyone who has played Dark Souls knows that From Software are experts in terms of good level design.
