Sea of Thieves was developed by Rare studios, better known for many popular gaming franchises like the Conker and Banjo & Kazooie. Sea of Thieves released March 20th, 2018, for the Xbox One and PC. It was an online open-world game centered around being a pirate with your friends. The game has rolled out the anniversary update and it has a lot of great content!
Sea of Thieves Anniversary Update Has a Lot of Great Stuff!
In their latest blog post, Rare has outlined all of the great stuff in the update.
The Arena
A PVP area for pirates to go head to head, if you have been looking for more ways to test just how strong you and your crew are, The Arena is just the place you want to be.
The Hunters Call
The game has now added the ability to hunt, cook and fish. With the help of the Pirate bard Merrick, you can now make your captain a stronger survivor. Leveling up each skill tree will net you some great rewards for capturing rare fishes and animals and for cooking some delicious dishes.
The Anniversary Update
The update itself also brings improvements and fixes. Players can now have realistic ship damage like a broken mast, wheel, and this could make ship battles all the more thrilling for both players.
In addition, performance has been improved on the Xbox One S, Load times have also been reduced for booting up the game, and there have been a number of stability updates on client and server side!

Sea of Thieves is definitely one of Microsoft’s better new IP’s this generation, and the update really seems like it brings a lot of quality of life updates for the game.
