In case you keep up with new trends, you must have came across the name of Sarahah App somewhere. A fun fact that most people do not know is that, the word Sarahah actually means ‘honesty’ in Arabic.

Sarahah App- How Does It Work
This app has a very fitting name, as it allows you to be ‘honest’ with its users. So, all you have to do is register your ID and make an account, and on sharing this account, your friends will be able to send any text without signing up for an account. You will get their text but you won’t know who its from. This, supposedly, the whole essence of the app. It allows people to be honest with you, anonymously.
All you can do with a message you receive is either share it on social media, report the user, or mark the message as a ‘Favourite’.
The app in itself, has three sections. One shows you all the mysterious messages received, the other two show you the messages you have sent to people and the messages you marked as Favourite.
Since this app allows anonymity, it has also become a place where people leave hurtful and offensive messages. So, to be fair, the developers have also found a way to improve this by allowing privacy features that remove your profile from search results, limiting its visibility to only people who you send the link to. In addition to that, you can also turn off access for unauthorized users.
Sarahah app isn’t the first anonymous messaging app that has trended this much; apps like Yik Yak, Ask.fm etc also have a similar concept. Even though, it’s very trendy right now, the Sarahah app might get a little frustrating as you can’t know who is sending you messages. Let’s see if this app maintains its popularity or fizzles out.
