Samsung unveils Galaxy Tab 4 series

Samsung has officially unveiled a new range of its Android mid-range Galaxy Tab series, The Galaxy Tab 4. The series consists of, as before, Galaxy Tab 7.0, Galaxy Tab 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Galaxy Tab 4 7.0:

The youngest brother in the series measures 107.9×186.9x9mm and weighs 276g and has, as the name suggests, a 7.0 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which gives a pixel density of 216 ppi. Tablet is packed with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 or 8 GB of on board storage which is further upgradable with a Micro SD card. It will be running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Main camera is 3.2 Mega Pixels with support for geo tagging and there is a front facing 1.3 Mega-Pixels camera for video calling and taking selfies. It is powered by a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor. Tab 4 7.0 will be available in LTE and Wi-Fi versions only.

 

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0:

The 8.0 version in the series measures 210 x 124 x 8 mm and weighs 320g and has a 8.0 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which gives a pixel density of 189 ppi. Tablet is packed with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of on board storage which is further upgradable with a Micro SD card. It will be running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Main camera is 3.2 Mega Pixels with support for geo tagging and there is a front facing 1.3 Mega-Pixels camera for video calling and taking selfies. It is powered by a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor. Tab 4 8.0 will be available in LTE, 3G and Wi-Fi versions. It packs a packs a 4,450mAh battery.

Galaxy Tab 4 10.1:

The 10.1 version in the series measures 243.4 x 176.4 x 8 mm and weighs 487g and has a 8.0 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which gives a pixel density of 149 ppi. Tablet is packed with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of on board storage which is further upgradable with a Micro SD card. It will be running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Main camera is 3.2 Mega Pixels again with support for geo tagging and there is a front facing 1.3 Mega-Pixels camera for video calling and taking selfies. It is powered by a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor. Tab 4 10.1 will be available in LTE, 3G and Wi-Fi versions. It packs a packs a 6800mAh battery.

All three tablets will be available in Q2 of this year and in black and white only.
