Just about a week back, Samsung released its latest Android phone Galaxy S5. The handset, like other Android phones from Samsung, is getting popularity in the market. Along with making Android phones, Samsung has also already released one or two Windows Phones too. However, this time, Samsung has made a quite bold decision.
According to reports, Samsung is working on its first Tizen smartphone. Tizen? Have not heard about the word? Well, it is one of the open-source mobile OS as Android is. Till now we have not seen any high-end Tizen smartphone from any giant company. But seems like, Samsung will be the first! Previously at MWC 2014, Samsung unveiled Tizen based Galaxy Gear 2. The Tizen smartphone is expected to feature specs as of Galaxy S5. Surprised! There are still no words regarding the handset name and official features. But we can expect the details leaking soon.
However, the first Samsung Tizen smartphone will make its debut in June. Not only this, Samsung will also release a comparatively low-end Tizen smartphone too in next quarter. It seems that Samsung does not want to keep its focus on a single OS. Rather than, by allowing new entrants, it may enhance the capability of its OEM production.
