All of us have been eagerly waiting for Samsung’s new flagships phones to be announced. Samsung set the bar very high for the MWC 2018 after announcing the Galaxy S9 and S9+. The two smartphones were unveiled at a pre-arranged, pre-event press conference. Thus, as expected, Android fans were acquainted with one of the most impressive smartphones of 2018.

We have all witnessed a lot of rumors and leaks about these smartphones, and most of them have been true! But, there are also a lot of features that we were not expecting. As compared to last year’s models, both the new smartphones have a 20% thicker glass to increase the durability and core strength. The new smartphones are also narrower than last year’s Galaxy S8 and S8+.
The stunning Galaxy S9+ can be considered as the flagship smartphones. It has a gorgeous 6.2 inch Super AMOLED display, 6 GB of RAM, and a 3,300 mAH battery. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S9 is no less stunning, being the smaller device. Nonetheless, it has most of the same features as the S9+ expect dual cameras in the larger variant, 4 GB RAM and a 3,000 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S9+ has an additional telephoto lens of 12-megapixels. This lens offers blurring effects, very similar to the famous portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus. Furthermore, the “AR Emoji” is another feature that sounds a lot like the Apple’s iPhone X Animoji. However, the Galaxy S9 users will be able to “create an emoji that looks, sounds and acts just like them by using a data-based machine learning algorithm.”
Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Price
The price of the smartphones may vary based on the carrier it’s purchased from. Unlocked Galaxy S9 will cost around $720. However, the unlocked Galaxy S9+ will be priced at around $839.99.
Both the phones will be available for pre-order on the 2nd of March. Furthermore, they will be launched on the 16th of March.
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available in four color variants- Lilac Purple, Midnight Black, and Coral Blue.
