The competition between companies and phones cannot end. Apple, Samsung, HTC and other brands are merely in competition and are producing the best they can with the best they can. Here we see that Samsung is now working on the Galaxy S5 Mini.
Here are the rumored specifications of the phone:
- Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors

- microSD card slot, supported up to 64 GB
- 16 GB internal and 1.5 GB of RAM
- Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, LE, EDR
- NFC (market/operator dependent)
- 8 MP, 3264 x 2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash

The Galaxy S5 Mini looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5 with the same dotted back panel, a heart-rate monitor beneath the camera lens and by the looks of it, even the water-repelling rubber padding underneath the back panel. There is also a fingerprint scanner below the camera.
Taking a look at that back panel, we see that it is covering more edges of the phone rather than the original Samsung Galaxy S5. This adds more credibility to the info that it’s a mini version of the phone.
While the information may seem false that this may not be the Galaxy S5 mini, but the physical and internal status of the phone makes us believe that it is a Galaxy S5 mini. Also as seen, the battery is smaller according to the phones dimensions. Although there is no cover on the microUSB which raises questions about its water rating. The phone is expected in Q2 of this year but the official date is not released yet.
The phone was first rumored to be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, but now news suggest that it will be running on top of the yet unannounced Exynos 3 Quad (Exynos 3470).
