Galaxy Note 8 Specs
Here are some of the key specs of the Galaxy Note 8:
- 6.3 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 2960 x 1440.
- Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor.
- 64 GB built-in storage capacity, and 6 GB RAM.
- Dual rear camera; 12 MP wide angle (with f/1.7, Dual Pixel autofocus and OIS) and 12 MP telephoto (with f/2.4, autofocus and OIS.)
- 8 MP front camera, with f/1.7 and autofocus.
- 3,300 mAh non-removable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 fast wireless charging.
In addition to these amazing features, the company says that the S Pen is now equipped with more levels of sensitivity and is water resistant. Also, the Galaxy Note 8 has dual rear cameras, and also claims to be the first phone to have OIS on both rear cameras. This would allow the Note to make use of its telephoto lens more often instead of turning to the regular camera in low-light conditions; and this is something the iPhone can’t do.
Another fun feature is Samsung’s own new potrait mode, which allows you to blur the background behind your subject. Also, you would be able to dial this effect up and down according to your liking, instead of just having an on/off button. More cool feature involve you being able to use the S Pen to send Live Messages, and to strike things off on your list while on the Screen Off Memo mode. Besides all of these feature, App Pair allows you to use two apps simultaneously (which is something we’ve all dreamed of, at some point.)
Also, the Translate feature, originally introduced in the Note 7, was upgraded. Now, it allows you to highlight complete sentences with your S Pen to instantly translate it into 71 languages.
Galaxy Note 8 Release Date and Price
Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy Note 8 will be available for pre-order from the 24th of August. The official date for the phone to go on sale has not been confirmed yet. However, leaks suggest that the smartphone could go on sale on the 15th of September and might be priced at $700 (73,700 PKR approx)
