One of the biggest IP’s from Ubisoft on this generation would have to be Watch_Dogs. A game that promised to surpass Grand Theft Auto 5, but met with some rather lackluster reviews. The 2014 title was a launch title for the PS4 and offered a great unique open world gameplay. In 2016, we got Watch Dogs 2, which was a better hit, but still not enough to topple the king. However, a curious listing on Amazon UK might have hinted that Watch Dogs 3 might be called Watch Dogs Legion.
Watch Dogs 3 could be Watch Dogs Legion
Keep in mind, we have verified that the listing does indeed belong to Ubisoft. Meaning that someone at Ubisoft on the Amazon store DID put up the listing. Perhaps this year is the time for Amazon to leak the E3 lineup, the way Walmart Canada did for us last year?
While the listing is up, here are the games details, straight from the store page:
The game’s setting:
Watch_Dogs Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London. It’s a post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes. London is one of the most iconic cities in the world and has had a massive influence on all of Western Culture for centuries… London makes total sense for WD, as the city has one of the highest surveillce levels in the world making this the perfect playground.
Some details about the gameplay:
Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems
What the above means is very unclear. This might indicate that the game might not have a fixed protagonist, but if the game is going to be ANYTHING like Driver: San Francisco, it is definitely going to be a hard pass for many gamers.
For now, the information presented is very concrete, however, we will have to wait till Ubisoft’s E3 2019 show to make sure the information presented is authentic or not.
