A Spanish website by the name of Legion De Jugadores (Legion of Players) claims that they have an inside source which has some very bold claims. The first is that The Last of Us Part 2 will release in November 2019, and the second one is an upcoming State of Play will be announced today for May 30th. This State of Play will confirm the release date, show more gameplay, and other details of the game.

These are some very tall claims, let’s see if they hold water.

The Last of Us Part 2 This Year? Place your bets!

Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part 2 are easily 2 of the most eagerly anticipated games that could be the swan song for the PS4. We know that the PS5 is definitely coming in 2020, but many fans have been wondering if we will get both games or either of them in this year or the next?

As with most rumors, we highly recommend you keep a pinch of salt by your desk.

It seems that the Spanish website, Legion De Jugadores, knows more than us.

They claim to have an insider source who has given them some juicy information.

Thankfully, unlike most rumors, we only need a few hours to see whether their source is legit or not.

According to their article:

Today we can confirm thanks to a very reliable source of the company, whose statements coincide with yesterday, that Sony will hold a State of Play on Thursday, May 30. This presentation will have a clear protagonist: The Last of Us 2 will show new material in the form of gameplay and story, in addition to announcing the release date for November of this same year.
In any case, our information indicates that in a matter of hours Sony will announce the aforementioned State of Play.
All we have to do is wait for a few hours, and if Sony doesn’t announce a State of Play today or tomorrow, it means that we can easily dismiss the rumor.
Considering this is the first time in over 24 years of E3, Sony has decided to not attend, we really can’t be sure what dates to expect either game until Tokyo Game Show or PlayStation Experience later this year.
