While its no secret that Rockstar has had a bad past with bringing some of their more popular games on the PC, it seems that Red Dead Redemption 2 might be able to redeem itself as a LinkedIn profile suggests the possibility of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, albeit it is from a former employee, it might hold some truth to it?
While Rockstar certainly took their time with Grand Theft Auto 5 by releasing it on PC in 2015, as the last platform, VG24/7 has reported that there is strong evidence for the presence of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, but from a former employee.
Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC – Fools Gold? Or the real Mc Coy?
While the employee name has been redacted to protect their employment and identity, it is interesting to note that they have stated Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PC along with the PS4 and Xbox One.
While this is nothing solid for us to call a lead or otherwise have any suggestion that this could be real, it is within the realm of possibility, but considering Rockstar and their reluctance to release Red Dead Redemption on the PC back when it was new and even today, perhaps the studio is looking to maximize on profits from the multiplayer by branching out to the other platforms.
While Rockstar has been firm on the stance of the game coming to the current gen consoles, the studio might still have a few aces up their sleeve and considering the possibility of releasing the game on the PC at a later date or with some additional content?
For now, all we can do is wait for further confirmation or the natural passage of time on whether or not the rumor turns out to be true.
