An image on Reddit showed EA Access installed on a Brazilian PSN account. Suggesting the subscription service might be coming soon to PlayStation Network.
EA Access is a subscription-based gaming service where a player will have access to selected games published by Electronic Arts along with additional incentives. The service is currently available for Xbox One and the similar service titled as Origin Access is available on PC. EA has yet to release the service for PlayStation fans and it seems like they might be getting EA Access for PSN very soon as suggested by an image from Reddit.
EA Access for PSN Coming Soon
Here’s how this service works for people who don’t know about it, a person can purchase the subscription in one-month or 12-month increments from either Xbox Games Store or from third-party retailers. Players on PC can also purchase Origin Access in the same manner. EA Access doesn’t, however, require Xbox Gold Membership but it will require the service for use of any multiplayer features that are included in Access-enabled games.
A user with the name u/Sabazin posted an image on Reddit saying he got that from someone on a group chat. The image has the EA Access app installed on a Brazillian PSN account which you can see right down below.
Now, this could be fake as the source seems quite shady but it does line up with EA statement about EA Access expanding to a new platform which EA said at the start of the year. Assuming the screenshot is real, this could mean huge news for PS owners as they can have access to new EA titles like Battlefield, Anthem without having to pay $60 for a full game and regretting it later if they do not like the game.
