Borderlands 3 has been long absent from the gaming world. The last time we saw the world of Borderlands was Tales from the Borderlands which was released in 2014. After that, we only saw re-releases of the previous generation games on the current generation. It seems that the YouTube channel, The Know are trying to live up to their name. Whether or not they actually have knowledge of Borderlands 3 Character Details Leaked from an insider is yet to be determined.
Borderlands 3 Character Details Leaked – Vault Hunting Has Never Been Riskier.
We do know that a new Borderlands game is in the works. Randy Pitchford confirmed as much a few years ago at PAX EAST. Considering the tremendous success of the series on the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC they would be foolish not to bring the series to this generation of consoles.
Unfortunately, 2018 is at an end and it seems that 2019 will be the curtain call for the PS4 and Xbox One as gamers and industry members speculate 2020 to be the year of the PS5 and the rumored Xbox Scarlett.
If you can’t watch the video, the main points of the video are detailed below.
- Solider – Ability to summon a mech drop like Titan from Titanfall 2. Skill tree will have co-op focused feature that allows for Titan turret to be controlled by co-op partner
- Siren – Melee focused character
- Assassin- Zer0 from borderlands 2. Summon decoy to draw aggro
- All 3 chars are out of Alpha Testing
- Beast Master – Hunter char. 3 pets to choose from:
- Official announcement in Q1 / Q2 2019 with teasers sooner.
- Players will get their own room to show weapons collection
If you follow Randy Pitchford, CEO of GearBox on Twitter, you will know that the executive has been doing many tweets with the number 3. This could only reflect that they have interest in Borderlands 3 and of course the game does exist but is not in a state where anything can be shown. Similar to the Dragon Age teaser at The Game Awards.
One part of the video says that their informer states the game to be announced at The Game Awards which has now come and gone, but much like Hideo Kojima, Randy also canceled appearing at the show on last minute.
Whether or not we see a new Borderlands before the end of this console generation is still the million dollar question. Until GearBox lets the cat out of the bag on whether or not they’re giving Borderlands 3 to us.
