This is a great day for both Marvel Comics and League of Legends fans, as both companies have teamed up to release League of Legend Comics.
League of Legend Comics by Marvel
League of Legend has a rich lore of various characters and Marvel is the perfect fit to tell their stories, as the companies announced today that they’re teaming up to release comics based on the lore of these characters.
“Many fans of the Marvel Universe and comics share their interests and passion for storytelling with the gaming community,” said C.B. Cebulski, Editor-in-Chief of Marvel in a press release. “League of Legends is one of the most well-known games in the industry, and their unique world and extensive roster of rich characters and are a perfect fit for comics.”
The first graphic novel will be called Ashe: Warmother and it will be written by Riot Games Odin Austin Shafer and illustrated by Nina Vakueva, who’s worked on “Heavy Vinyl”.
The story follows Ashe as she learns about the Freljord by going on a dangerous quest that will change Runeterra.
The first issue will come out on December 19th and will continue to release digitally on a monthly basis. The physical edition will release sometime in 2019.
