Redout Space Assault is an upcoming arcade space battle game from 34BigThings. The game is set in the Redout universe and features the same thrilling movement and speed of the series. It is coming to PC next year and features a full single-player campaign. Now, the Redout Space Assault System Requirements have been revealed on Steam alongside the announcement.
There are plenty of realistic space sims on the market including Elite Dangerous, but we love to see arcade-styled space games coming out as well. Everspace 2 is also making its release next year, and it will be interesting to see how both these titles stack up.
Redout Space Assault System Requirements
To play the game on PC, you need the following specifications
Minimum Requirements
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 7
- Processor: i3 2.6Ghz
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: GTX 570 or equivalent
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 14 GB available space
Recommended Requirements
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: i5 2.6Ghz
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: GTX 970 or equivalent
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 14 GB available space
Now, these aren’t exactly very detailed requirements, but we get a good idea about what the game needs. Based on these, it isn’t very demanding at all, and most PC users won’t have a problem running it. You only need a fairly standard 2.6 GHZ i5 processor to play at higher settings, and 8 GB RAM. A total of 14 GB is needed for the game, which is pretty low. Redout Space Assault also supports Windows 7 as well.
As far as the GPU requirements are concerned, you need something like a GTX 970, which at this point is a fairly old card, to run at higher settings. Compared to something like Everspace 2, it’s pretty obvious this is the less demanding game.
Either way, we recommend players to upgrade their systems to a decent i5 in 2021 anyway. 8 GB of RAM simply doesn’t cut it anymore, and most games require 16 GB to function smoothly. Even though this game is only 14 GB, most other titles easily cross the 50 GB mark as well.
Redout Space Assault Release Date
The game is coming to PC via Steam in 2021.
According to the Steam page, the game features a full campaign, where you take on the role of Leon Barret, who is an ace fighter pilot of the Poseidon Security Forces. Players will complete missions, upgrade their ship, and features a dynamic soundtrack as well.
