We reported earlier that the highly anticipated PS4 and Xbox One title, Red Dead Redemption 2 will weigh in at a whopping ~80 to 90 GB on both systems, it was later speculated through the Japanese box art that the game could have two discs which would be a first for a AAA title that was released on launch. KOFI, the creator of the Press Start Podcast has just posted a picture on Twitter confirming the presence of an Install disc and a play disc in the physical version of the game, this means that Red Dead Redemption 2 on 2 Discs has officially been confirmed, and its time for you to free up some space on that hard drive.
2018 has been a thrilling year for video games, with God of War, Spider-Man, Black Ops 4, Assassins Creed: Odyssey, and plenty of other games that are coming out in the coming months to make this one of the years in gaming, it could only get better when Rockstar officially gave us the sequel to 2010’s highly console title, Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Redemption 2 on 2 Discs – Do You Have The Space?
Rockstar had been hush on the game for a long time and it was only recently that they revealed the gameplay for the game after years of teasing fans with cinematic trailers, but with all those bells and whistles there are bound to be a lot of gears and cogs turning them in the background as well.
In the last few days, the news has been awry with talking about the behemoth like the size of the game, breaking the limit of the Blu-Ray disc. The games are 85 GB+ on either system, which is the value of 2 AAA titles for the same space.
Fans speculated whether they would need to download the extra data but no one pondered the thought of the return of multiple-discs in a game cover which was a pretty big deal in the previous generation. With games like Final Fantasy XIII, GTA 5, and more on the Xbox 360 coming on multiple discs, this generation was the time where it was thought install and play discs would be a thing of the past.
Rockstar was not blowing smoke when they said Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a massive game, and KOFI has just confirmed that you will need a bigger boat hard drive if you have been wasteful with your storage space.
