Spider-man is one of the most anticipated upcoming PS4 exclusives this year and we cannot wait to get our hands on it, there have been various indications that the Marvel games might exist in a shared universe, and a possible PS4 Spider-man crossover could be a possibility.
The possibility of a shared Marvel game universe isn’t something that couldn’t happen, given the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s some possibility that the upcoming Avengers Project game from Square Enix might exist in the same universe as Spider-Man.
PS4 Spider-Man Crossover with Avengers Project
The Avengers Project was announced back in 2017 with the following trailer and Square Enix heading it
Youtuber Caboose talks about this in detail where he explains that the city in Spider-Man, is the actual city of New York, which is based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Comics, and not some generic superhero equivalent of the city.
The city includes similar locations like the Sanctum Sanctorum as well as the Avenger’s Tower, which confirms that there are for a fact characters from other Marvel comics in this game or at least their existence is acknowledged by the game itself.
However, while there is some acknowledgment of the characters in the game, there is no confirmation regarding any of this and it is purely speculation based on references provided in the game screenshots and concept art.
