Yuzu is the only Nintendo Switch emulator for PC, and it’s progressing faster than any other emulator available. With it, you can get Pokémon Sword and Shield on PC running.
Yuzu has managed to play a bunch of titles on PC, provided you have the hardware to emulate it. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s getting there.
Pokémon Sword and Shield on PC
Sword and Shield is the latest entry in the long-running Pokémon video game series for Nintendo consoles, and it’s finally available.
As soon as it became available, the developers behind the emulator managed to get it running on PC.

The developers have shared screenshots of the game running on PC via emulator, and here’s some footage already available on Youtube.
As you can see, the game is running fairly well actually, but there are some slowdowns here and there, that sort of break the experience somewhat.
Developers have mentioned that they’re working on fixing those, and it’s still remarkable to see the game running so well on the day of release.

Emulation and its progress
Emulation is an excellent way to play games that you’ve already purchased at higher resolutions, and framerates. It allows us to preserve our favorite video games, and allow us to play them on various platforms.
CEMU, RPCS3 and now Yuzu are joining the ranks of growing emulators that have allowed people to enjoy their favorite last, and current generation titles at much better performance and visuals.
Thanks to emulation, players can experience games like Demon’s Souls, Metal Gear Solid 4, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and more on PC, by purchasing the games on a different platform.
