The official Pokemon Twitter handle has just announced Pokemon Masters for Android and iOS smartphones. Weeks earlier we had rumors of a new Pokemon game arriving on smartphones but not much was known at the time. Now, finally, the rumors can be laid to rest as it is official that the new game is Pokemon Masters.

Pokemon Masters For Android and iOS Announced

The new game is said to be developed by DeNA. The company hasn’t revealed much information regarding the game so far but we do know that the game is centered around the idea of battling pokemon on the go. It will feature many popular trainers from the series.

According to an official description,

A new Pokemon mobile game called Pokemon Masters is on the way for iOS and Android devices from The Pokemon Company and DeNA. Pokemon Mastersenables players to experience a new type of Pokemon battling on the go and features many famous Pokemon Trainers from the long history of Pokemon video games. Gameplay will be optimized for smart devices for a casual but uniquely Pokemon experience. Fans can expect more details about Pokemon Masters in June.

This is all we know for now regarding the game. For more information, we would have to wait till June which is when DeNA will disclose more information regarding their upcoming game.
