POCO is making its redemption into the smartphone market with its upcoming POCO F2 Pro. The company is renowned for manufacturing inexpensive smartphones with cutting-edge features, and the POCO F2 Pro is no exception.
POCO rose to prominence with their flagship smartphone, POCO F1. However, soon after, the company went “MIA” until today. After a wait of almost a year, the company is back with a new smartphone! Earlier today, POCO released their upcoming POCO F2 Pro with promising specifications.
POCO F2 Pro Launch Details:
You might be acquainted with the design of POCO F2 Pro; that is because it is a re-brand of the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro. It may not be deceitful of POCO to re-brand another smartphone since the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro is an exceptional device, as per its hardware specifications.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, which supported by the upcoming 5G connectivity. POCO has manufactured two variants for the phone; one being 6 GB LPDDR4X + 128 GB UFS 3.0 and the other being 8 GB LPDDR5 + 256 GB UFS 3.1. Moreover, the phone arrives in 4 vibrant colour-variants; Neon Blue, Phantom White, Electric Purple and Cyber Grey.
Unfortunately, it seems that the company has decided to avoid the trend of a high refresh-rate screen, with the POCO F2 Pro having only a 60 Hz screen.
As for the camera, the device has a primary 64MP Sony IMX686 camera, with a 1/1.7” sensor, 0.8 μm pixels pre-binning, and dual-stabilization through EIS and OIS. Additionally, it also supports HEIF image format and 8K video-recording. There’s also a 13MP ultra wide-angle camera sensor alongside a 2MP depth-sensor, and a 5MP tele-macro camera. The secondary camera is a 20MP pop-up camera that is capable of shooting slow-motion selfies at 120 FPS.
One of the noteworthy features of the phone was LiquidCool Technology 2.0, which is said to be the “next-generation cooling”. Other features include Goodix’s optical under-display fingerprint scanner and smart audio-amplifiers.
