Persona Q: Shadow of the labyrinth was a big delicious helping of fan service. Mixing together characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4 for one big crossover adventure. It was highly acclaimed earning an 83 on Metacritic. Now we have Persona Q2 which is an even more ambitious mash-up between Persona 3, 4 and 5, with Persona 5 characters being at the forefront. Persona Q2 Story
In the above tweet, we see the Phantom Thieves return and finding themselves in a mysterious town. The story aspects of the game that have been revealed so far tell us that they are in a world of movies.
We also know via the official website with credits to gematsu for translation that the story will be centred around the Persona 5 cast. The Persona 3 female protagonist is said to be heavily involved in the story.
In addition to this, both the male protagonist and the female protagonist of P3 exist at the same time.
Characters
Q2 will have characters from the following games:
- Persona 3
- Persona 3 Portable
- Persona 4
- Persona 5
Going through different themed movie worlds with the wonderful cast of all these characters sounds like an amazing experience.
The gameplay and tactics of Persona Q2 look to be standard persona fare. Persona switching, targetting enemies weak spots, all that good Dungeon RPG stuff.
The official website says that there is some “Must see dialogue” and we persona fans have to agree. Imagine all the dream pair ups, Chie and Futaba, Junpei and Ryuji and Yusuke just glaring at and judging everyone while being his weird quirky self.
Persona Q2 is releasing on November 29th, 2018 for the Nintendo 3DS.
