OnePlus, will be skipping the OnePlus 4 name after the release of its OnePlus 3T, and is most expected to launch its next flagship OnePlus 5 with 8GB RAM in June. (Yes, we are talking about smartphones and not math equations).
Leaked images show the new model of the Chinese handset-maker OnePlus’ latest model, the OnePlus 5, which is set out to launch in June. Rumors about the phone speculated that it would have 6GB of RAM but leaked screenshots tell us that the latest model from OnePlus will instead have a massive RAM of 8GB.
According to the leaked screenshots from a Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo, the OnePlus 5 will not only have an 8 GB RAM, but it will also have the storage capacity of 128GB, and will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box based on HydrogenOS (Chinese version of OxygenOS), as stated in a report by AndroidPure.
It is possible that the OnePlus 5 will come in two storage options of 64GB and 128 GB of built-in storage, but as there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, we suggest you don’t get your hopes up too high.
As per previous rumors, the OnePlus 5 is coming with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 833 SoC. It is speculated to have a 5.5-inch quad-HD (1440×2560 pixels) display.
The earlier rumors regarding optics suggested a 23-megapixel rear camera but relatively newer speculations are that the rear dual-camera on the OnePlus 5 will have a pair of 12-megapizel sensors (standard RGB + monochrome). A retail listing of the phone has claimed that it would be equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera, which will be a downgrade as the OnePlus 3T has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Only the official announcement of the OnePlus 5 launch will relieve us of our guesses and acquaint us with the actual features of this much awaited device.
