After a series of rumors Nokia has officially announced its Lumia 930 with a 5” screen. Lumia 930 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 2.2 GHz Quad core processor. It packs 2 GB of RAM with 32 GB of on board storage. The display is a 5” super sensitive ClearBlack AMOLED with a resolution of 1920×1080 which gives a pixel density of 441 ppi. The device measures at 137 x 71 x 9.8mm and it weighs 167 grams. It packs a 2,420mAh battery and supports Qi wireless charging capability.
The camera is 20 MP PureView with 1/2.5” BSI sensor, f/2.4, OIS, and a dual-LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics. The camera is capable of recording 1080p videos @30fps which is not according to current standards. Some flagships, like Samsung Galaxy S5, can record 4K videos now. The Phone has a Creative Studio app which will let you add some cool effects to your images. The phone introduced a new feature called “Living Images” in which photos and videos are automatically sorted according to time and location. Lumia 930 has 4 powerful microphones for directional stereo recording. It has a “SensorCore,” which apparently is linked to Bing Health & Fitness.
The device will be running on recently announced Windows Phone 8.1 of course. You’ll be able to enjoy Microsoft’s personal vice assistant Cortana out of the box. Device will be available in June and it will be available in Europe first. Then it will expand its availability to Asia and Middle East later on. Expected price at launch is $599.
