The upcoming Nintendo Switch Firmware 6.0.0 should be dropping soon any day now, and with every update, there are bound to be leaks and rumors, whether it’s a video game or firmware, somehow, data miners reveal information that isn’t meant for the public this early. Now, some features of the upcoming Nintendo Switch Firmware 6.0.0 have been leaked, check out the details below.
Nintendo Switch Firmware 6.0.0 Features Leaked
So, for now, here is the leaked data, that data miners have successfully got hold of information about the upcoming firmware because Nintendo has supposedly uploaded the firmware files on their servers early, this is what we know so far
- Nintendo Switch Online subscription support (apparently the slogan is “More Games. More Features. More Fun.”)
- Save data backup
- New Toad icons: 2x Captain Toad, 2x Toadette, 1x Wingo, 1x Draggadon (from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker)
- New controller icons: Famicom, NES, SNES/SFC
- Mitigations against deja vu, an unreleased Switch exploit
- Enhanced telemetry to detect exploit utilities among other things
That’s about it for now, as for proof of this leak, the hackers have provided with an image of them going through some messages from the HOME menu for the save backup, check it out below
Take this all with a grain of salt, as this could very well mean nothing, and the supposed leaked information could be false, but it’s interesting to see that the update has already been uploaded on the servers, which could mean, that it’s dropping sooner than we expected.
Make sure to read about the new update for Dragon Quest X as well. We’re very excited to see more and more games announced for the Nintendo Switch on a daily basis and this Nintendo Direct was packed with so many indie titles that it’s going to be hard putting down the console given how many titles are coming in the upcoming months.
