Console Emulation has been a thing ever since we got consoles, and every day new improvements are seen in each of these emulators, especially now where developers are actually funded to work on said emulation software. Nintendo Switch Emulator RyujiNX is another one of these, only three months old and has been able to run Switch versions of Axiom Verge and Disgaea 5.
Earlier, we talked about other emulators like Yuzu and the other homebrew stuff regarding Nintendo Switch as well.
Nintendo Switch Emulator RyujiNX
RyujiNX has been able to run Axiom Verge, Disgaea 5 and other Nintendo Switch games in just 3 months of development, not only that, it has been able to boot triple-A games like Super Mario Odyssey and even Splatoon 2, this is quite the achievement since emulation is usually a very slow progress.
Check out the software running Axiom Verge below
and Disgaea 5
The emulator uses C# programming language and has a very user-friendly user interface, and constant build updates.
From their official site
“It is a Nintendo Switch Emulator programmed in C#; unlike most emulators that are created with C++ or C. This emulator aims to offer good performance, a friendly interface, and consistent builds. Ryujinx is created by user gdkchan over at the GBAtemp forums. This emulator is also available on GitHub, and is licensed under the “Unlicensed” license.”
You can get the current build here.
Sonic Mania at Full Speed
Not just that, you can actually play Sonic Mania at “full speed”, check out the gameplay below
It’s amazing to see how much these emulators are progressing, from CEMU that can now run Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild at even 60fps 4k, to RPCS3 in which there are monthly progress and many playable games at 4k.
