Many of you know how bad it feels when companies force their software on you when you don’t want to install it. Nvidia has been guilty of this as well if you are a Nivida GPU user you know that when you install drivers for your GPU, an added program by the name of Geforce experience is also installed along with the drivers. Now if you want that program then all is well and good but many find it useless considering how already there are so many launchers for each individual online game these days. All these programs running in the background can potentially slow down your PC, especially if your specs aren’t top notch. However, thanks to the newest Nvidia driver you can now Install GeForce Driver without GeForce Experience.
Previously, there was a way to avoid installing the Geforce experience program but you had to choose custom installation during the installation process to manually uncheck Geforce experience form the list of services that were going to be installed on your PC.
However, after the recent driver version 388.59, the installer has an added option whereby you can either opt for Geforce Experience to be installed or choose not to. This is a welcome addition as novice users may not know much about custom installation.
This is not to say that Geforce Experience is a redundant program, on the contrary, it can be a useful program if you want your games to be automatically optimized according to the hardware you have installed on your PC. It is also the go-to program for many users who like to record their gameplay. Aside from this, it has some other nifty features as well so you may wanna check it out before you decide if you want it or not.
Now that you know, head on to Nvidia’s website and download the latest driver if you haven’t already.
