Google Self Driving car project is some years old now and Google is working hard to make the cars available to general public. Previous self-driving cars were with steering brakes and everything. Actually Google used to make a general car, Mostly Toyota Prius, in to a self-driving car by putting the instruments on it. In case if car makes a mistake or human inside it want it to do something different then he can use steering or brakes to do that.

But now Google has revealed the latest prototype of its self-driving car and it’s really cute. The new car is a small 2 seated cute car without steering or brakes. The car is made after years of development and research and it is completely automatic and is made to make road accidents less in numbers.

According to Google:

Every year 1.2 million people die worldwide in traffic-related incidents, and over 90% of those accidents are due to human error. Our team hopes to improve people’s lives by developing fully self-driving technology that can improve road safety and make it easier for people to get around.

So with this car you do not have to do anything at all. You just have to sit in the car, Tell her where you want to go and then enjoy the ride. The car has advanced cameras and advanced sensors giving it a 360-degree view of the road.

The car has sensors that remove blind spots and can detect objects out to a distance of more than two football fields in all directions

But this is a very early version of Google self driving car. Watch the test drive taken by volunteers:

As mentioned this is a very early design of self-driving car and Google will keep it improving. the windshield is all plastic and there’s some foam in the front to protect you from any collision. The car’s exterior is cute as you can see in pictures and interior is not luxury too. There are two seats with seatbelts, a space for passengers’ belongings, buttons to start and stop, and a screen that shows the route where you can set your destination.

Google will make 100 such cars in the first run to test them in next few months. Here is some more from Recode:

The car — which was conceived and designed by Google, unlike the ones it previously modified — lacks many of the trappings of a normal car, and that includes the three essentials: A steering wheel, an accelerator and a brake pedal. The company that designed the world’s simplest home page also decided to lose the mirrors, the backseat, the glove compartment and the stereo.

So what do you think about this self driving car and are you in hurry to give it a try?
