Mineko’s Night Market is a new game that has just been announced at the Summer Nindies Nintendo Direct. It looks like an incredibly charming game that is giving us some serious Harvest moon vibes!
From the way its talked about, it seems like it’s gonna be a harvest moon style management game where crafting materials and managing your market is the key focus.
Tons of Activities for Mineko!
There are said to be 4 regions which are inspired by Japanese locations. The game’s music felt very exotic and Japanese as well. The game is set to come out in early 2019. There are said to be cats. That was supposedly emphasized upon. Including a mythical cat named Abe.
It looks like there will be a lot of activities. One scene showed it turning into a stealth type game avoiding suited agents. This would appear to be the mine area where you go to collect resources and ores that you later use to craft new stuff or sell to make more money. Another showed it turn into a sumo wrestling match as shown above. It appears there are set to be a plethora of activities and places to explore in this charming game.
From going to snowy mountains, Climbing trees to take in wonderful views, Racing, Fishing, farming and many other activities, Minekos Night Market looks to be an absolute treat for fans of Indie titles. Fans who enjoyed the original Harvest Moon Games or the more recent “Stardew Valley” are sure to enjoy yet another exciting adventure.
Catching a glimpse of the ever elusive Abe also seems to be a fun little element in the game. This reminds us of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, where you would look for the fairy or the harvest sprites.
