Microsoft Office 2016 Preview can debut in few weeks, will feature touch-first Modern UI


Here is some news related to Microsoft Office software suite. The next installment of Microsoft Office termed as ‘Office 16’ is already in works and is being tested by Microsoft employees and partners. As per ZDNet, Microsoft will be launching Office 2016 Preview in few weeks.

The final version will be made available in spring 2015. Recently, Microsoft also introduced Windows 10 Technical Preview whose final build will also come in mid of 2015. So, the next year will surely be quite INTERESTING for Microsoft fans. Coming back to our story, Office 2016 Preview will feature touch-first Modern UI, ‘Tell Me’ helper utility, automatic image rotation and a new dark theme. You will notice some other enhancements too.

Microsoft is working on cross-platform for Office 2016. Same version of Office will run on PC, Android, iOS etc. Microsoft has decided to make its apps and softwares ‘universal’ by using C++ core. Microsoft is also working on merging its Windows and Windows Phone Store. Hopefully, the introduction of Windows 10 in 2015 will open gates to a universal world of apps, softwares and games.
