Samsung Galaxy A8 was in rumors for many days and weeks. The phone is finally official with Android Marshmallow pre-installed and trust me, I’m loving it.
The phone comes in 2 versions. A single sim variant and a dual-sim variant. Both sims support 4G in dual sim variant. The Galaxy A8 has a stunning 5.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080. The display has Super AMOLED technology as most of the Samsung phones have.
Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 has Exynos 7420 Octa chipset with Octa-core (4×2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 & 4×1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and Mali-T760MP8 GPU. Internal memory is 32/64 GB with 3 GB of RAM for smooth multitasking and lag less gaming. There is an external Micro SD card slot which supports up to 256 GB memory expansion.
The camera on Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 is 16 MP with f/1.9 and single LED flash. The front camera is 8 MP f/1.9 unit which is great for selfies. Both cameras can record 1080p videos. The phone does not support 4K video recording.
As mentioned above, the phone comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. We hope that Samsung will upgrade it to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat as soon as possible.
The phone will be launched this month and will cost around $580.
