Uber Pakistan on May 18th 2016, arranged an event for the media and bloggers to have a change to meet Uber Partners (Drivers). The purpose of the event was to allow media people to meet the drivers who work daily as uber partners on the roads. Uber was launched few months back in Pakistan starting from Lahore City. Where they received really nice response from the Uber users and partners.
Uber is a smartphone app which helps people to get rides instantly with a push of a button. All you have to do is install the app on your Android or iOS smartphone and sign up as User. Once you sign up you can order a ride to pick you up and drop at any location. It takes only few minutes to get a ride on Uber right where you are.
So at the event, we met various Uber Partners who are now working daily driving their cars and helping people getting to their destination fast and secure. Uber Partners have flexibility to work any time of the day. There is no restriction to work as Uber Partner you can work in your own free hours. Though there is series of tests which Uber drivers has to pass before becoming the partners. We met few of the drivers some which are students, graduates or full time workers. There is no age limit or gender restriction anyone can become driver and earn.
Drivers such as Salman Rehman have found UBER as a great source of income through difficult financial times. There are drivers who have left their previous jobs because being an UBER partner pays better. Asif Qazi has been working as an IT Manager at Chakwal Group for the past 25 years. With his son acing at LUMS, Asif is using Uber’s platform to make additional income for his son’s college expenses. There are even students who are part time UBER partners and wish to increase their allowance. Uwad Farooq is a civil engineering student who drives on the UBER platform in the evenings, 6 days a week. Some like Khawaja Waqas have more than one car on the UBER platform operating on their fleet. Our partners are extremely happy to be able to work whenever they want; the ability to be their own boss!
Drivers also told they are earning pretty much good from Uber and has permanently left their full time jobs. This job is much more fun and flexible which they really enjoy. Above are some of the top rated drivers in Lahore from Uber.
