Yes, you read it right. This 10th Generation Honda Civic is all new, tip to tail. New engine, new transmission, new interior, new exterior.
Honda is offering 5 models LX, EX, EX-T, EX-L, Touring. Estimated price starting from $18k and reaching about $26k this Civic is a lot of car for the money with all the technology and performance.
Honda Civic has always been a sporty sedan, but they lost the sporty part in the 2015 Civic, but they’ve brought it back. Though being a proper sedan the 2016 Civic gives a sporty feel, its longer, wider and lower. The sportier interior gives you a racecar feel, but you don’t have to worry about less space or visibility. Talking about the interior, the car does not have that two-tier dash anymore which is good since you don’t have to worry about where to look at anymore. The handbrake has been replaced with a button for parking brake which is good for storage but bad for handbrake turns, which we all petrol-heads love.
Looking at the exterior, this is one of the best designs Honda has ever come up with, it’s sharp, it’s lustrous, it’s flamboyant and definitely not boring. LED Daytime Running Lights(DRL) is something trending and available in Audis and BMWs etc. now you get it in a Civic! Dual exhaust, Chrome front grill, Cameras on side view mirrors in a compact Honda sedan, now that’s bang for the buck.
In a base model, you can get a 2.0-Liter DOHC i-VTEC® 4-Cylinder Engine but if you go for EX-T or upper models you get a 1.5-Liter, Turbocharged and Intercooled DOHC 4-Cylinder Engine with Direct Injection giving out 174hp and still doing 35mpg(city and highway combined).
Some of you still prefer other sedans in the market like Toyota Corolla but if you’re a Honda fanboy, you’re in for a nice ride.
