In the past few weeks, we have seen two smartphones to offer a sliding mechanism for their selfie cameras and other sensors. This innovative design implementation has afforded those smartphones to max out the display size and reach an almost bezel-less frame. The two smartphones, of course, are Mi Mix 3 and Honor Magic 2. Now cue the third contender, the recently announced Lenovo Z5, a smartphone that features the same sliding mechanism but claims that it has beaten all smartphones when it comes to screen to body ratio
Lenovo Z5 Pro Specs and Price
The phone features a beautiful edge to edge 6.39-inch display with an amazing 95 percent screen to body ratio. This is unprecedented in all of smartphone history. It is incredulous how far the modern smartphone has come in just a few years. The resolution to go with the screen is 1080 x 2340 pixels which translate to 402 ppi. It is a Super AMOLED screen which Lenovo claims has been supplied by Samsung.
All other specs are almost flagship level, however, the catch is that the Lenovo Z5 Pro uses a Snapdragon 710 processor which is a 10nm chip. it would have been nice to have something like a Snapdragon 835 at the very least but they had to cut costs somewhere so it is what it is. As for RAM and storage, Lenovo will come in 64/128 GB, 6 GB RAM models with no expansion slot.
There is also no headphone jack which is always a bummer and we wish this trend would come to an end but with more and more phones doing away with it we have little hope. The primary Camera setup on Lenovo Z5 is a dual setup with a 16MP and 24MP sensors. There are also 2 selfies cameras, a 16 MP and 8MP.

Lenovo Z5 Price and Availability
The Lenovo Z5 Pro will retail for about 350 USD or 300 Euros. These prices are however not official so expect a little variation. The expected release date of the phone is November 11.
As you can see the phone sits right between a flagship phone and an entry-level budget phone. We are not too happy about the battery capacity and the absence of a headphone jack but other than that the phone looks solid especially at this price point.
