The latest Code Vein Gameplay trailer shows a lot of promise when it comes to gameplay, but will it learn to behave?
Code Vein is poised to take the throne from Dark Souls when it comes to the Action RPG genre, as the game promises to be dark, gritty, and merciless when it comes to its gameplay. You will always be at odds with the enemies in the dangerous world that surrounds you, and danger lurks around every corner.
Aptly summed up in the comments section of the video as Dark Souls: Anime Edition, the game has a lot of stunning animations, characters, and the latest trailer shows us a look at the world, weapons, characters and gameplay that players can come to expect from the next passion project of Bandai Namco.
While the game is out for release in 2018, this trailer is made to show all the accolades that the game has earned for itself from the European press when it comes to early press impressions of the game.
The premise of Code Vein is similar to that of Dark Souls where your humanity comes at a cost for power, but the humanity in this game is represented by the memories of the characters you cotrol, and aren’t memories what make us human?
Considering Bandai Namco already has prior experience in the APRG genre by being the publishers to the Souls series, it is no doubt that Code Vein stands to be a true successor to fill the missing Souls itch that many gamers are undoubtedly feeling with the absence of a new Souls or Bloobornegame no where on the horizon.
The game looks like it is going to have to live up to a lot of expectations for a very selective fan base who will pick at every aspect of the game, do you think Bandai Namco can replicate the Souls formula without the help of From Software?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments section and whether you are as excited for the game as we are!
