No gamer needs an introduction to the extremely popular Kingdom Hearts franchise that started its life on the PS2 back in 2002. The Kingdom Hearts series is developed by Square Enix and it is an action RPG game centered around a character known as Sora. The game incorporates many of Disney’s various characters into the story since it is a collaboration between Disney Interactive and Square Enix. Today, we have news that Kingdom Hearts 3 File Size on Xbox One is 35.8GB.
This is highly impressive considering that the previous Kingdom Hearts game, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 had a 29GB size. Kingdom Hearts 3 is an immensely bigger game than its prequel and so naturally people were expecting for the file size to be monumentally bigger than what it is.

To put things into perspective, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 has a combined playtime of about 73 hours for completionists. The game has a size of 29GB. Now imagine Kingdom Hearts 3, where you will probably go through multiple worlds, each having its own storyline with multiple characters. Now to think that Kingdom Hearts 3 only has a 35GB file size is astonishing.
This is a good sign for gamers since triple-A games for the past couple of years have been growing in size exponentially. With games exceeding the 80GB mark easily, on top of which there is often a day one patch so add that too to the mix and you have a very hefty game to download, any game that is smaller than 50 GB is honestly a sigh of relief for many.
Most gamers don’t live in first world countries and have limited download speeds and bandwidth. Something like this is quite relieving for them as they don’t want to spend days downloading their favorite games.
However, I must add that there is currently no mention of a day one patch for Kingdom Hearts 3 but some people have pointed out that there is a high chance for such a patch considering the file size of the game.
As for the game itself, everyone knows it is a highly anticipated RPG title and I personally couldn’t be any more excited. The Microsoft page for the game has the following description

Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date and Availability
Kingdom Hearts 3 is scheduled for release on 29th January 2019 Worldwide on PS4 and Xbox One Consoles. However, in Japan, the game will release a few days early on 25th January. You can currently pre-order the game from here for Xbox One for $59.99. You can also pre-order for PS4 from here.
